YEDI is always working to open new markets for our entrepreneurs, including the vast and complex Chinese market. With nuanced considerations such as intellectual property protection, cultural differences, marketing strategies, and communication with government, China offers tremendous opportunities for expanding ventures.

As part of this global vision, YEDI was proud to participate in the World Top-Performing Incubator Conference, showcasing Canadian innovation and entrepreneurship on the international stage.

Our President, Dr. Marat Ressin, delivered a powerful keynote highlighting YEDI’s distinctive approach to entrepreneurship education in Canada – one that blends academic rigour, hands-on acceleration, and global collaboration to help ventures thrive.

To support this effort, YEDI brought two outstanding alumni – Ilia Borishchev (VIBRAINT) and Fedor Belemoev (4Blind) – to introduce their innovations, present their ventures, and connect with new partners through their dedicated booths at the event. Both entrepreneurs shared how their technologies are making a meaningful impact and had the chance to build valuable international relationships.

Through these initiatives and new public and private partnerships, YEDI continues to help entrepreneurs enter the Chinese market more smoothly. Our team also met with high-level Chinese government officials to share insights about YEDI’s work in Canada and explore future collaborations that will strengthen global entrepreneurship and innovation.

We look forward to continuing to build bridges between Canada and global innovation hubs – empowering entrepreneurs to grow, expand, and make their mark worldwide.
