Saeed Toosizadeh, PhD
Saeed Toosizadeh received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in 1995 and a master’s degree and Ph.D. in control engineering from the same university in 1998 and 2005, respectively. He graduated with a grade of honour in all degrees. He joined as an assistant professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Azad University of Mashhad in 2006.
Since 2006, he has been exploring the areas of computer vision, robotic vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning, IIoT, encryption algorithms, network security, smart sensor networks, and AR/VR. He was appointed as the head of the electrical engineering department at Azad University of Mashhad from 2007 to 2010. Then he was vice chancellor for research and technology at Azad University of Mashhad from 2014 to 2018.
Since 2018, he has been working as a visiting professor at McMaster University and researching medical equipment, computer vision, and AI. Also, he has been teaching in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology at Mohawk College since 2019. He cooperates with Ideaworks at Mohawk College in two significant applied research industrial projects for ArcelorMittal Dofasco and Stelco as the leader of the computer vision and machine learning teams.
